The magic of photography became clear to me as a child when I began taking pictures of anything and anyone with a Brownie Hawkeye tied round my neck by a shoelace. During the past six decades the Hawkeye fun as grown into a passion. I seek images, predominately of people, trying to record their spirit and environment. Recently, I have made the transition from the 35mm camera and darkroom to the digital camera and computer. This has opened up a whole new world with unlimited possibilities. My photographic boundaries expanded when I began to explore the printmaking process. I present many of my photographs as solar etchings which are often hand painted.
